Who we are

The Christmas Canadian Pet Expo is run by Canadian Pet Expo Inc, P.O. Box 149, Millgrove, Ontario L0R 1V0. Our privacy contact is the Privacy Officer, reachable at info@CanadianPetExpo.ca.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email and mobile number when you sign up for updates, purchase tickets, book a booth or contact us. We also collect limited technical data automatically to keep the site fast and secure.

How we use your information

We use your information to process ticket orders, send the updates you've asked for, respond to enquiries, and improve the show experience. We never sell your personal information.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number and opt in, we'll use it to send the texts you agreed to. We keep a record of when and how you opted in. Reply STOP at any time and we'll stop within 10 business days, usually right away. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share them only with the providers that deliver our messages. See our SMS Terms.

Automated and AI-assisted messages

Some texts, emails and replies come from automated systems, including AI assistants that work under our instructions. You can ask for a person at any time by replying HUMAN or emailing us.

Where your data is stored

Some of our service providers, including our messaging and AI providers, store data outside Canada, mainly in the United States. Data held there may be accessible to authorities under local law.

How long we keep it

We keep contact and consent records for as long as we're in touch with you and for three years after, so we can prove consent if asked.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep your session working and remember preferences such as your My Pet Expo itinerary. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not work as well.

Sharing

We only share data with the service providers needed to run the event (such as payment processors and email delivery) and only to the extent required to provide those services. This does not include mobile numbers or SMS opt-in consent, which are never shared for marketing or promotional purposes.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email, and from texts by replying STOP. You can also contact us to review, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
